Near North eLearning is an on-line learning program offered by the Near North District School Board through the Ministry of Education Learning initiative.

In 2006-2007 we were one of the pilot boards to be offering eLearning. This is our fourth year in this initiative and we are pleased to offer 10 courses this school year.

You must be registered in a Near North District School Board secondary school in order to enroll in an eLearning course. An eLearning course can only be selected after consultation with a Guidance counselor to ensure that the student has the necessary program pre-requisites. The student must also have access to the computer hardware and software necessary to access the course material. Students must use their assigned Board email account.

Courses are taught by certified teachers of the Near North District School Board and will be taught in an asynchronous delivery mode meaning that students will be on-line at different times. However, interaction through discussion or chat rooms will be required for interface conversation on some topics.
